1o Questions with...juliet oldfield

This week we sit down with the talented Juliet Oldfield, mother, actress and creative director of Bedazzled Events. 

 

 

How did you get started in your field?

 

I grew up helping my dad out at events and weddings through his catering company and then worked in our family restaurants at weekends. Hospitality and events have always played a huge part of my life. Whilst training as an actress I decided I wanted to create a business which would support my dream and act as another creative outlet so I created Bedazzled! 

 

2. What are your top 3 tips on balancing work life

and motherhood?

 

  1. Be kind to yourself, sometimes taking time out is the best solution to recharge. 

  2. Planning is essential and try not to leave things to the last minute so you have time to be spontaneous! 

  3. Love what you do and don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. 

 

3. How do you get motivated?

 

A good nights sleep always helps! I come up with my best plans in the shower!

 

4. How do you define success?

 

When your happy in your work and family life. 

 

5. What’s your favourite fashion staple?

 

A good handbag and lipstick will always go a long way

6. What is your favourite mantra?

 

Life is too short 

 

7. What food have you never eaten but would love

to try?

 

I have eaten Thai food and love it but would be great to try more. 

 

8. Do you have any tips to kickstart a positive

morning?

 

A strong cup of fresh coffee and don’t look at your phone as soon as you wake up

 

9. If you didn’t work in your field where would you

be now?

I've always wanted to be an actress so there was never another option considered. 

 

10. Who has been your biggest supporter?

 

My parents and partner 

Juliet Oldfield, British actress best known for her role in the film 'Bronson' playing the female lead opposite Tom Hardy. Juliet was a series regular in SKY DRAMA 'Critical'. Other credits include Channel 4 'Top Boy,' the BBC Films 'Borrowed Time' and Radio 4's 'Shedtown'.  Juliet set up Bedazzled Events in 2010 designing one off luxury events. The company has gone from strength to strength and she has built up a team of entertainers, suppliers and office staff to support the ongoing success of the business.
