Kate Middleton Says Motherhood Is Hard For Everyone - Let's Admit It

As most know, motherhood doesn't come without stresses, strains and struggles - but when we think of celebrities and the Duchess of Cambridge particularly, most of us would assume that with help on hand, nannies, a doting husband and maybe even a maid to do the night feeds - why would Kate Middleton find motherhood difficult.

While discussing the trials of motherhood at The Family Action headquarters on Tuesday to help launch its new family hotline service, the Duchess stated that she has noticed a lack of support for mothers whose children were over the age of one.

According to the Daily Mail Kate stated:

“It’s so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days, but after the age of one it falls away. After that they’re isn’t a huge amount. Everybody experiences the same struggle.”

Kate also brought light to her concerns on motherhood in 2017 when she stressed the importance of new mothers opening up about mental health.

“Even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer, overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. For many mothers, myself included, this can at times lead to a lack of confidence and feelings of ignorance.”

She had also admitted that she felt isolated and lonely at times.

“So many mothers are going through exactly what you are going through. It is being brave enough...to reach out to those around you..”
